Jonathan Rackman - Writer / Director

Jonathan Rackman wrote 13th Avenue when he still had long purple dreads, went to school in New Haven and lived downtown. Now that he is a producer he has short platinum hair, wears Armani and lives on the upper west side. He's really looking forward to this show being a further success because he doesn't want to go to law school and want's to spend time with his old friends in San Francisco and Perth.

Rack grew up in New York. He graduated from NYU's Gallatin program. Afterwards he moved to San Francisco, Vail, Colorado, and Hawaii where he bartended and studied Americans on vacation. Upon realizing they are all the same after kicking back a half a bottle of Tequila he hung up his mountain bike, surf board, and snow boards and returned to the East Coast where he continued his education at Yale. He spent two and a half years in New Haven studying play writing and making life long friends from both the administrative and student bodies.

Brian Townes moved to New York three years ago after hearing the weather was significantly less humid than that of his native New Orleans. When not in the city, he has a habit of traipsing all over France- which is strange because, while the weather is generally temperate, it is still largely occupied by the French- who, no- he loves dearly. . . really. It's just that whole thing with the bread and the smoking and the driving really small cars very near to the speed of light and the spending four hours drinking a single four ounce cup of coffee that really start to grate on his high strung, over-fed American nerves after awhile. After kissing the ground each time he returns to JFK, he has been known to work with various theater companies in and out of New York, and occasionally shoots a film or two. In April he wrapped the independent Henry and Grace, due out in Spring '04. Thanks to everybody on both sides of the Atlantic for their support.
